In Photoshop CS3, how do you get the brush to show you a preview of where it's hovering before you stamp it?

For paintbrush resize your brush bigger if it is too small you will not see but a tiny dot or make sure the color is not the same as the background, for the clone stamp tool, press alt+click to select where you want to draw the texture from and click again where you want it to apply.
