What's the best makeup brush?

I use Bare Minerals makeup and I love it! I bought the starter kit which comes with three brushes. They work great, but should I be using an expensive $50-70 brush? Will a more expensive brush make my face look a lot better. Makeup artists always say It's all in the application! Thanks in advance. What's the best makeup brush?
I love the Bare Minerals brushes! I haven't found a blush brush that I've liked better that wasn't a super expensive MAC brush. I bought some of the ELF Studio brushes and I love them (plus they are only 3 bucks!)What's the best makeup brush?
I really think it is all in the application. Just make sure your brush for the face is super soft and dense. Apply with minimal product on the brush, in small circular motions on the face going downwards.

To tell you the truth about makeup brushes, some less expensive brushes work better than the expensive ones....this I can tell you from experience. However, if you really want to get a GREAT brush just for the heck of it, I LOVE Bobbi Brown's kabuki brush...it is both super dense and super soft.
they have brushes that like be cheap at da like drugstore they be workin ok like you could like try they i be usin a powder brush and it be workin good two

  • Mineral Makeup - what brush is best Kabuki? Flat Top-Buffer? or Stipple Brush?

I new to mineral makeup and my set comes with a average synthetic Kabuki, want to invest in a really good brush as i know that its important.

I just want to know what each brushes benefits are and the kind of finish each one will give me.

I want my makeup to last all day, so medium coverage is what I'm after.

Also any other tips or tricks regarding mineral makeup and how to make it look fab and last long would be much appreciated

:-)Mineral Makeup - what brush is best Kabuki? Flat Top-Buffer? or Stipple Brush?
for medium coverage i recommend a kabuki brush. a flat top buffer will give you the most coverage because it is thicker and the stipple brush will give you the least. if you do get the kabuki, make sure you get one with the right amount of bristles/thickness. i got a kabuki from cargo in this set http://www.makeup.com/brands/cargo/bronz鈥?/a> and altho its great for bronzer...its not at all good for my foundation. i use the 181 from MAC http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/templates/鈥?/a> i bought this particular one because it was cheaper than buying the regular sized one but it works great! its the perfect thickness for my foundation and i get medium coverage. i use the 180 from MAC http://www.makemeheal.com/images/product鈥?/a> when i want more coverage. that particular brush is not sold by MAC anymore but im sure you can get one from a different brand. my 180 (the flat top buffer) is really great for giving you perfect EVEN coverage without making your face look cakey.

stipple brushes are amazing for all kinds of face products. it will give you decent coverage and you can use it for blush and highlighters but i find the 181 easier to work with.

the best tip i can give you is to clean your brush fairly regularly (not vigourously though) because ive heard alot of girls who've started to break out after using bare minerals or that kind of mineral makeup for a few months. and make sure your mineral makeup does not contain bismuth because it is a skin irritant and will make your skin look really disgusting after a while. as with any foundation start in the middle of your face and work your way out. ensure that youre blending out your makeup well so your face and neck aren't different colors. and to make your makeup last longer...stick with a good skin care routine (wash tone and moisturize) then try a foundation primer (the makeup sticks to the primer not your skin making it last longer). make sure you set with a loose powder or even try fix+ from MAC. i swear by it, one spray to finish your makeup.

good luckMineral Makeup - what brush is best Kabuki? Flat Top-Buffer? or Stipple Brush?
If you are looking for medium coverage, you might want to stay with a flat brush or a regular mineral makeup application brush. The kabuki brush only gives minimal coverage. The other brushes really work the makeup onto your skin as they are not as soft. I use a kabuki for finishing veil as I am looking for a light dusting coverage over my makeup.

Do you bleed when you brush your teeth?

yeah!Do you bleed when you brush your teeth?
yes sometimes if u use a hard brushDo you bleed when you brush your teeth?
sometimes.. u have to eat the right food to make your gums stronger.
sounds like ginsivitice. get some gargle
Yes i do and i have being told that it is due to not brushing enough or the right way.
I used to. I got a soft bristle tooth brush and started flossing. If your gums bleed when you floss at first they will still bleed and may hurt some. But after a few days your gums will improve and stop bleeding. Also, use Listerine or a peroxide and water wash once a day.
No, and you shouldnt either. This means you arnt brushing well enough, or often enough. You should be using a soft brush too.
may be you are brushing too hard. You may also have gum disease
    Yes sometimes...
sometimes if gums are raw and if you use a hard bristle brush it could cause tears..
    I heard a man say once, ';yea, my gums have always bled when I brush them';! I said, ';If your arm bled every day would you be concerned?';

Your gums should not bleed when you brush them.

Get a professional cleaning by a liscenced dental hygienist at your Dentist office.

Buy a power tooth brush-I like oral B. It doesn't have to be expensive-get a battery one and change the batteries every 6 months (do the same time you go in for a professional cleaning) along with the brush head!

Use Listerine 2x a day, try flossing, go deep under gums, make like the letter C and go on each side of the tooth under gums. Do this and your gums will not bleed :-)

IF YOUR gums bleed profusely see your MD!

Sometimes, when I'm in a hurry. My gums bleed because of the bristles of the brush.
You may not be brushing properly or using too hard of a toothbrush. Buy a soft bristle brush and brush your teeth at a 45 degree angle along the gumline for at least 2 minutes. Do not use alot of pressure. Flossing will also help. If you don't particularly like the strong taste of mouthwash, mix it with 2/3 mouthwash to 1/3 water. Drink plenty of water and get regular checkups. Good luck!
The only time your gums should bleed is if you are flossing to aggressively and cut the gum, or use to hard of bristled tooth brush. Gums only bleed when they are sick, if they bleed daily seek your dentist and get a good cleaning.

How many times do you brush your teeth every day?

usually once a week on saturday niteHow many times do you brush your teeth every day?
twice but sometimes 3 timesHow many times do you brush your teeth every day?
    Three times.
    Three.
    Twice. morning and evening

and haven't had a cavity in 20 years!
    twice
You are supposed to brush it three times, but I only brush twice.
twice and occasionally three times. Its discusting that some people in the above answers say they only brush once a week. I'm 37 and NEVER had a cavity. =]
It depends on what I've eaten.

If i've eaten healthy that day (pasta salad ect.) and no sugary snacks then two, after breakfast, and before sleeping.

But when I eat sugary snacks I brush my teeth afterwards.

So for instance, one day I might brush my teeth twice, the next I'll brush them four times.

Also when you feel your teeth feel unsmooth you brush them.
    Three times.

Some times I use a dental floss.
once.. sometimes twice, sometimes none depending on the situation:]:]

    thats an honest answer.

I have a ? about my dog. Daizy, my dog will brush her nose in the carpet, like she is trying to dig.Any ideas

Her nose is itching and she may have allergies. If you see her licking or biting herself alot and if her fur gets a reddish tint in places where she licks, she may have allergies. I had a dog who did this and she scratched her eyes by plowing her face into the carpet. The vet should be able to recommend a shampoo. We were told to put a little vegetable oil in her food to help soften her coat.I have a ? about my dog. Daizy, my dog will brush her nose in the carpet, like she is trying to dig.Any ideas
She may have an itch or there is an odor in the carpet that she associates with something she likes or finds annoying. Just wants to get to it! Curiosity!!! Try dry baking soda on the area for 15-30 minutes and then vacumning it up....may neutralize some of the scent.I have a ? about my dog. Could be a dead body under your floor? Neva know these days ;)
You could have termites (as ';they'; say that dogs can smell termites)... Or perhaps an animal or pet lived in the home before you and your pet can smell that in the carpet or under the carpet.
if shes rubbing it allot her nose iches an she might have alergies
Dogs rely very strongly on their sense of smell. She's probably just smelling around the house. Relax, it's probably normal.
Take her outside to play! My dog does this occassionally, but we take her outside and let her explore and she's fine. If it continues, see a vet. This is just my amateur opinion!
take her to the vet , there could be something in her nose, or even allergy

. Let it clear through a vet.
    Her nose itches
MY DOG DOES THE SAME WITH HIS FACE AGAINST MY BED EVERY MORNING. THE VET SAID HE WAS JUST SCRATCHING. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
someone sat on that spot with smelly a$$
